Founding the Missionaries of Charity in 1950, she dedicated her life to caring for those abandoned, sick, and destitute, embodying unwavering compassion and love.
Her work spanned across slums, hospitals, and disaster-stricken areas, bringing hope to countless lives. Honored with numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she is a symbol of humility and devotion. Mother Teresa was canonized as Saint Teresa of Calcutta in 2016.

കാക്കനാട് മൗണ്ട് സെന്റ് തോമസില് വച്ച് കര്ദിനാള് മാര് ജോര്ജ് ആലഞ്ചേരി, മാര് മാത്യു ആനിക്കുഴിക്കാട്ടില് എന്നിവര് ചേര്ന്നാണ് പ്രകാശന കര്മ്മം നിര്വഹിച്ചത്. മദര് തെരേസ ലോകത്തിന് കാരുണ്യത്തിന്റെയും സാഹോദര്യത്തിന്റെയും സന്ദേശം ജീവിതസാക്ഷ്യത്തിലൂടെ പകര്ന്നു നല്കി.മദറിന്റെ മനോഭാവം എല്ലാ വ്യക്തികള്ക്കും അനുകരണീയമാണ്. മദറിന്റെ ജീവകാരുണ്യപ്രവര്ത്തനത്തിലൂടെ ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ യശസ്സ് ഉയര്ന്നുവെന്നും കര്ദ്ദിനാള് മാര് ജോര്ജ് ആലഞ്ചേരി പറഞ്ഞു.
